Battlefield 3 Battle days

What are Battle days?

It's an activity from the good ol' days of Bro Company Deuce when we'd fight together for the glory of our nation. There were specific set rules, it was overall fun!

To do this in Battlefield 3, we need at least 24 to sign on for it at a date where we can all join in. I will personally start it and host it.

This is as close to a private match as we can get people. Anything is possible, and I'm sure we all want to try it out. I will explain more if there is good attention paid to it. Your friends are welcome to join as well! As long as they can follow direction from the host, and adhere to the rule set. Otherwise they'll be asked to leave, and someone else will take their spot.

Interested? If I get significant numbers, I'll explain more into the rule sets and details on how battle days play out. Tell your friends about them, get them involved. We have to take over a public server, so we need people constantly.

6 February 2012:
If you want a slot, please type a response with the word "Reserved". I'll then record your name.

7 February 2012:
If you are bringing friends, I would like you to tell me their names so I know who they are. They won't be on the reserved list, they'll be on a "guest" list.

8 February 2012:
You may not get to play with your friends immediately. Take this into account please, and throughout the game we will try to get everyone with each other.

Well, I didn't know that.

I'm well aware it would be difficult to hold down 24 guys, although I think it's worth the effort. If the worst is inevitable and private matches won't come to BF3, then we'll have to find ways to get around it, if only for a little while.

IF we ever get private matches. The day of the patch, we are hosting a game.

If we get private matches, we should think of scenarios that would be cool to play out. Also, sign me up for the public server takeovers.

The Infantry servers are almost always empty or have a majority of them empty, so I'm saying that they'll prove the most reliable.

And the fact that it has infantry only (Exempting the jeeps, and the infantry helicopters.), and no third person view (Realistic?).

Battlefield allows that to happen a lot smoother than other games and it seems the most fun

Definitely interested, though I have little hopes of getting 24 UX members into a game without private matches.
