Bronies...?

I know this topic will recieve hate, but is anyone on the site a brony? Just wondering, been real boring recently. So, if your a brony, feel free to tell me. If you are not, let the hate commence, jerks. Seriously though, don't think worse of me because of this.

You guys don't have to be so "nice" about it. Seriously, that is all quite rude. I was just asking, you don't have to hate. Its not like I am shoving ponies down your throats. Jeez. If you guys feel so horribly hateful about it fine, but I was un-aware that friendship is unethical.

I don't consider everyone who watches those horse shows bronies. Mainly because I think of bronies as people who make horses their avatar on every site they attend and oftentimes reference horses.

So, someone who watches that show but doesn't base their entire persona around it isn't a brony to me. It wouldn't be accurate to label someone based off of one show they watch if they don't make a huge deal about it. As long as you don't become one of those "Hey everybody, look at me, I'm a brony! I watch a 12 year old girl's show and I'm proud of it, because I'm so damn fringe and I don't care what you guys say! Do you guys hate me because I'm so different, and so bizarre? Is the existence of a teenage male who proudly watches My Little Pony totally blowing your mind right now? I bet you think I'm really weird and eccentric. I bet you want to call me a fag, but guess what, I don't care, I don't care what you think, I'm a brony and proud of it! I'M SO FRINGE RIGHT NOW, GOD IT'S GETTING ME HARD! SO FUCKIN' FRINGE DUDE! SO FUCKIN' FRINGE! Equestria equestria brohoof, everypony!" then I won't hate you.

So yeah, as long as you don't become one of those people. As long as you don't decide to let one show you enjoy dictate your entire personality so you can feel like part of a fanbase, I won't care.
Seriously though, I'd be willing to bet money that most of the people you see on various sites across the internet with pony avatars who do the brony schtick actually have shows they watch more often and like better than My Little Pony.

It would be like if a certain unnamed person, known for apparently watching tons of Smallville (if you've been frequenting the chatbox as of the last month), started watching My Little Pony (not accusing you of being a closet brony, unnamed person). In this hypothetical situation, the person, still an avid Smallville fan, has now watched My Little Pony, and liked it, or at least liked the idea of becoming a brony. He proceeds to become a brony; the transformation is extensive. Suddenly, on every site he attends, he makes sure to list MLP:FIM prominently in his favorite show section of his profile. He changes all his avatars to ponies, and makes sure to keep an eye on some pony fan art site so he can keep having new pony avatars. He suddenly starts incorporating horse-slang into his conversations. Despite the fact that he is now a full-fledged brony, he still likes Smallville better. If he prefers Smallville to My Little Pony, then why doesn't he base his personality and avatars off that? Because he wants to fit in with the tremendous brony crowd and be one of them.

It's kind of sad now that I think about it, that what was presumably just an ordinary cartoon intended for children is now destined to have millions and millions of people who hate it so much. I'd imagine the maker of the show didn't want that. They probably just wanted to make a nice show that kids would hopefully enjoy (or they were an evil, stereotypical Hollywood type who wanted to quickly make a shitty show and cash in on a bunch of merchandise, and all that other evil not-caring-about-the-art-producer stuff). Now their show is despised by millions. Other similar cartoon shows may not have as huge a fanbase as their show, but other shows also don't have a huge hatebase due to obnoxious fans. Bummer for them. Ah well, I'm sure they don't care that a bunch of internet people hate it. They're probably swimming in cash.

I guess that's my way of letting the hate commence. Just for the record, I don't automatically hate anybody who considers them self a brony. As long as they aren't an ass about it, I don't care.

I actually figured the first post would be something along the lines of "Go Fuck Yourself," because everyone remembers the Black Snow incident that was making a mockery of this site because everyone had to have their stupid pony avatar.

I've been a brony since August. I haven't really gotten much hate for it, but that's probably because I don't go around spouting pony memes and such.

I actually like it an consider myself a brony but I am not shoving it or showing it off everywhere, the ONLY reason I have my avatar on here is cause I was excited about a MlP story called cupcakes but I can't change it cause I have been using my phone, but brony isn't a bad thing if your overobsesed it's called AN ASS WHO RUINS THE SHOW FOR ME.

But yes I like ponies, not the show as much as the written stories people write online...

It's all about horses.

Did I tell you all that I ride a horse everywhere? With my duster it gets all the girls instawet.
