It's one thing to take pride in your race. It's another to completely let it take control of your image.

People will call you that because you continue to take it as something offensive, even when it's not intended to be. You let that word define you, by taking offence to it. It's like if someone calls out, "Hey Dickhead." and you turn around as though they're talking to you. The sooner you desensitize yourself to words like that, the sooner people will leave you alone, and one day you can eventually earn their respect.

What your lacking in is humility, and once you learn to laugh at yourself, you'll find that life gets a lot easier, both in person and on the internet.
