New Xbox Live Update?

Hey i Just got on my xbox and noticed that the new update has arrived. This whole cloud saves idea seems really cool that you can bring all your game saves where ever you want. I am not sure how i feel about the new dashboard look though...

So what do you guys think? Do you think that this is also a fun idea or just some dumb gimmick that Microsoft is trying to push out right before the holidays?

I don't know how everyone else feels, but so far pretty much every XBL update (to the dash at least) has been a downgrade as time goes on IMO (meaning the layout gets more and more shitty). I'll get on now to check it out and edit this post with my first thoughts.

If this is seriously the direction Microsoft is taking.. there is no way I am buying the next gen console.

I don't know i liked the old one. Over all I do think that they kind of took a step backwards on this one.

This one revolves around Kinect... wtf.

After much more reviewing.. I am seriously considering cancelling all gold memberships. This update is pissing me off more than any other prior one has.

Fucking take a chill pill yo. How much time could u possibly spend in the dashboard in between playing games? For fucks sake its a dashboard, it doesn't affect the games you play which is the purpose of your Xbox. Cancelling your membership due to this is fucking retarded.

I think the update is great? It makes everything easier to access. Bing search is awesome. Beacons are cool. Whats not to like honestly? You are too afraid of change.

This update sucks it impossible to find anything and you cant jus browse the market place anymore, you cant view all of your friends avatars at once (meaning that you cant check what party they are in and stuff) but Erik mentioned to me the new laws and terms of service wich are horrible and the dashboard disconnects me from xbox live when i try to do anything, this update sucks and i dont like to scream accros my living room at a little black sensor to get it to search something that i could have just browsed to find in the first place

Yeah i like the beacons but i don't know if i want every single one of my friends on xbox playing with me. I am excited to have youtube on the xbox though. I think that will be really cool.

1. You can still browse the marketplace the exact same way.
2. bing Search is fast and makes searching for things extremely easy. Just try it.
3. Try clicking going Friends>Parties, watch in amazement as it shows you everyones avatars in parties and even lets you highlight each avatar to see who they are and what game they are playing.
4. Terms of service? WHO READS THOSE.
5. Why do you have kinect.
