Safest Place to Go In LC?

If Liberty City has any Army Docks nearby, I would get a small team together and take an aircraft lander. Those things have nuclear reactors to power it, lots of Rations, radios, etc. But how many people would flee for the army? (Note that only NATO Aircraft landers have Nuclear reactors, so don't go for anything outside the NATO.)

If that isn't a good idea, I would probably make a bus into a war machine (Barbed wire, tinted windows, reinforced weak points, etc) and just live there with my homies the Zeds would find it hard to get in, amirite?

Ride the rivers with a tug boat and maybe a speed boat tied to it for landing. Ocasionally I'd take the speed boat to land and scavange some nearby places. If no food was availible I'd probably just try fishing (or cooking a boot) while listening to something like Dashboard to set the mood

Find a large Unicat 6x6 Expedition Vehicle, get a couple other survivors (that arent infected of course..) bar up all the windows, drive it offroad only. If you need food just run that shit through the front of a store, grab sufficient amount, and then back the hell out and run. (That thing can take a ton of damage..) Basically just stay off the roads and use it as a mobile base.

In the event you cant find a Unicat.. ive got nothing

No its not. Its just very hard to get a handgun licence.

haha in Virginia law was just passed last week no limit on guns you can buy in a month, used to be onl 2 in a month but now I can go buy guns

I would get away from the center island and head for te roof of the abandoned sprunk place. I'd fortify it til we could find a safer place. It'd be more of an outpost.

Has no one mentioned sun screen, or bug spray? I don't about you but, things like that could REALLY fuck you over. If you are out side mostly during the day, and especially near the ocean, you will collect some harsh burns that dehydrate you and put you in a painful and annoying state.
If a bug bites you, and is some how infected, than what do? You spent this whole time scavenging only to be bitten by a bug that infects you or gets you terrible sick with no medication to cure it.

Oh well, since ALOT of people will eventually search for Guns and Militars/Cops first, you'd get f***ed up by the other survivors before the Outbreak gets serious. Gun Shops will get occupied by survivors that will get crazy and shoot anything that comes nearby,such places as Hospitals,Police Stations and Evac Points will quickly get overhelmed by zombies, without counting that if one person is infected and doesnt knows it, he can kill everyone in the zone. The Majestic hotel isnt really a bad idea, the only problem is the 1-way-out thing, staying on a Boat at first sounds good, but its true what the others said, you'd rather become depressed or insane after spending 2/3 months on the Boat, and the Salt will Dehitrate you really fast. Happiness island is one of the best choices, since zombies cant swim, its one of the best places to be, but alot of survivors, including Rescue Crews will head there. After a few weeks the whole city will be overrun and the few survivors left will be fighting for food and territories instead of fighting off the zombies. The mall will seem like a "Must-go-to" place at first, but alot of survivors will go there too, so you may encounter a large group of crazy/hostile survivors, or friendly/team-alike people, the problem is the many entrances and the risk of looters. The center island will quickly run out of supplies so people will head to the other islands. After 3 Months there will be no life in the city, without counting that the Government can fire an Atomic Missile to eradicate the infection. There is no safe place in LC, but they can last longer than others. Well thats pretty much all that would happen during an Outbreak.

I really cant think about which place would be the safer to last some Weeks before Evac, but i can give tips to find it.
-It has to be away from the Center of the city, since looters will head there as their first choice.
-Better if it has a Heli Landing Pad, that way you dont have to get out of your safehouse to get Evac'd.
-It needs plenty of supplies, and make sure it has a Generator and plenty of fuel, so you dont stay in the shadows.
-You need to make sure you have at least 2 ways out, and a car, in case something goes wrong.
-Make sure you've got something to find other survivors (i dont recommend this for the risk of infection, without forgetting that they can get crazy and take your base), like a Radio or something.

For an example: The building next to the Comedy Theather, it has a Helicopter Landing Pad and has 2 ways in/out, which only 1 is accessable for zombies.

I'd get the hell outa Liberty City.
