World Premiere: Operation Blooddocks: A GTA IV Zombie Infection Machinima

Post  Desert Sleepy on 2nd October 2011, 9:49 pm

It's a truly touching tale of love, fear, courage, honor, bravery, sacrifice, and the living dead. It's been nominated for 47 Academy Awards, all of which are for Best Picture (violating their own rules to praise this truly awesome and legendary piece of cinema). It'll make you laugh, and it'll make you cry. Drum-roll, please.

It is: "Operation Blood Docks: A GTA IV Zombie Infection Machinima".

Here's the link in case the other doesn't work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyunZ7eXwqM.

Basically, I took footage from yesterday's zombie night and spent all day editing it into a cinematic adventure. I mainly had to remove anything that blatantly acknowledges the fact that it is a game. Further info available in the YouTube description. If you like it, be sure to hit the like button on the video, and also favorite it and leave a comment. If you dislike it, be sure to hit the like button on the video, and also favorite it. Also, if Undead Xbox wants to have another more recent video, I'll gladly send this one and it can be posted on the official YouTube channel. If not, that's okay too.

Hope you enjoy.

By the way, if you're curious as to why there's so much damn static, see the description offered in the video. I explain why there, and while you're there you can hit the like button. You'd be doing me a solid if you "like"d it.

Wow, I really got to hand it to you Desert, through some basic editing you've made one of the best videos we have. Thank you for putting the time into this one, it turned out to be a real beauty. I would love to have this on the UX channel. I'll PM you about it.

For the record though the campaign is called Blood Dock, not Blooddocks. But its all good.

Please make more!

Damn. I would rename it, but the video has "Blooddocks" in it.

EDIT: Renamed it, as it only briefly has "Blooddocks" show up once in the video. Video is now called "Operation Blood Dock".

Simply incredible. Well done.

This vid should definitely be featured on the official UX youtube channel. Deadape should contact you with details soon.

By UX Operatives do you mean Paramilitary?

It's cool to see our "official" (if you don't hold a high opinion of the word) military being showcased so much, also as a PMC outfit in post-apocalyptia against the remnants of the US Government.

Why we were saving civilians though is beyond me...

Not trying to start anything, because this is an honest question, but why do you capitalize almost every word?

Desert, nicely done.

Im guessing you have an HD Cap card that you use on a SD tv?

If i see you at zombie night this weekend ill make sure to record so that we can do a dual cam video type thing.

The Operatives in the video were simply well trained individuals working for the betterment of the Undead Xbox community. You may interpret them to be the Paramilitary, or anything else for that matter. It's up to the individual viewer. However, the fact that most of them were wearing NOOSE helmets and camouflage does help them look like a military force.

And the saving of civilians is intended to make UX seem more justified. No need to take the US Military's side if they're the bad guys, fighting to take supplies from needy civilians (judging by the helicopters and bombing run, they don't need supplies too badly).

EDIT: Actually, Operatives can mean UX Paramilitary Operatives IF you add it to the Paramilitary's record of operations. (The game was held on Saturday)

Awesome. It would be great to see the same events from several angles instead of just one.

For the record, mine only goes up to 480p. It's a standard definition capture card (though I do have an HD TV if I ever need to upgrade.
