Now when I looked at the title of this story I thought "It's an American" but no it is an Australian.
I think she has a point but it is still weird.

When I first saw this topic... same.

Although I see nothing wrong with the case if the story is true. It's just not your everyday typical lawsuit; especially for Australia.

I thought it was some American idiot too, trying to sue the doctor for simply having born and not wanting to live or something... but that made perfect sense. The doctor fucked up and caused her to be slightly deformed, so she should get at least some compensation for it.

Doc should've done what she asked him to do. If something would have went wrong then, she couldn't touch him

There's two sides to every story, and if it's true, it's malpractice. But it also sounds circumstantial to me. Her Erb's Palsy (whatever that is, paralyzed arm?) may have been caused by something else not stated in the article. For whatever reason, it may not have been possible to do a Caesarian section. I don't know, it doesn't say, but there's a reason why the doctor didn't do what was told.

God you guys are judgmental.

This can happen anywhere in the civilized world, not just the US.

I can understand her reasoning, but I think partly is just to get publicity.
