About Events
**This topic itself is NOT an event**
This is the "events section" of the forums, where all events are posted regularly. If you are bored or wondering what is going on, feel free to check this section out for all hosted current events!
To get into our events, you NEED to be (at minimum) added to one of our official site gamertags. There is more info on this in the FAQ:
http://www.undead-xbox.com/faq
If you wish to host a "community game" event (not hosted by a staff member), be sure to follow our guidelines:
http://www.undead-xbox.com/t6267-community-games-how-to-host-your-own-game
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Community games or other staff hosted gametypes may also have other requirements to join. Be sure to read the original post of each individual event topic posted. Examples of other requirements (aside from being added to one of our site gamertags) include, but are not limited to: Sending a message to the game host via PM, posting in the topic, or xbox live; sending a more specific message to a game host, and reading a certain rule set in advance. Not all rules for certain gametypes are explained in the lobby of the game.
IF the rule set is on the site, it is the hosters responsibility to post a link to the rule set, and the attenders responsibility to read them. If the rules have not been read, it is at the hosters discretion to remove the person from the lobby.
IF the rule set is not on the site, it is the hosters responsibility to say so in the original post (OP) of the topic. If there is no mentioned information on the rules in the specific topic you are looking at, it is usually safe to assume that the rules will be explained in-game lobby.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The events section is updated regularly. We cannot guarantee that non-staff events will be posted in advance, but most events should be posted with at least a 24 hour notice, or at the most 1-2 weeks out from the actual hosting date.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The section is cleared regularly to clean out old events; however, if you plan on hosting an event without creating a new topic (bumping an old event topic) be sure to let eaustinn36 know via PM or other method, to avoid topics falling into a void of inactivity.
IF a topic is inactive, and you wish to save it for a future posted event, contact eaustinn36, and the event topic will not be cleared.
IF a topic is inactive, and you don't plan to host another event, BUT, it contains important information, contact eaustinn36 and it will be moved to a more appropriate section.
Otherwise (if not one of the above), old event topics are usually cleared around 1 - 2 weeks after the hosted date, or when the topic becomes irrelevant.
