According to the guy who leaked the MvC3 roster, this will be a DLC as well.

Twelve new characters? Spectator mode? Want.

Finally MVC3 will be a good game.\

That is, if this comes as a DLC for less than $40.00

Maybe a deal that allows you trade in MvC3 for a reduced price?

A spectator mode, thats impossible if they did that the game would explode. I might have to pick this up I am just sad that it comes out in november and costs 40 dollars. Also thank god they don't pull this shit with mortal kombat.

Fuck you Capcom.

Stop making a shit ton versions of the same fucking game. This shit should have already been in the fucking game. Now you want me to fucking spending another 40 bucks on this.

Unless I can trade in MvC 3 for twenty bucks off or something, I won't buy it.

For those that are hoping this will be a DLC add-on, hopefully cheaper for those who have the game already, I am pretty sure that's not happening. If you look at the stryder-ghost rider gameplay vid, the HUD has changed. I am pretty sure this is a whole new game you'll have to buy. I find this dispicable. So those that bought the original game day of are forced to pay more money for something that should have been included in the first place? Absolutely unacceptable.

Good thing I did not do this for street fighter 4 I just waited a couple years for the arcade edition, I should of known capcom would do this but I guess thats just how they operate.

UMVC3 Interview

http://comic-con.gamespot.com/story/6324657/comic-con-2011-ultimate-marvel-vs-capcom-3-hands-on-preview?tag=top_stories%3Btitle%3B10

Yea. This ain't gonna be a DLC. This is a full release. They are tweaking a lot with the game it seems.

- Tweaks to some characters, including new moves and tweaked moves
- X factor evened out for all characters and less effective.
- X factor can now be enabled in the air.
- new menu screens?
- Changed HUD?
-It almost looks like they revamped the look for some of the characters? I could be wrong about this, but they look even more cell-shaded/comic drawn.

When asked "is there any sort of bonus for those who already owned the original game?" the dev responded that he doesn't know and that they are talking about it. Lame.

Apparently Ghost rider plays like spencer (surprise.) Firebrand plays like Felicia in the air. Stryder is the same.

Q: How does a Capcom employee count to three?

A: Street Fighter 1, Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition, Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting, Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Hyper Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 3.

Consider the idea that all of this took place before online gaming. Understandable, right? In the day and age of easy patch distribution, one would THINK that something as mundane as balancing would be free.

FACT: Moneygrubbing sluts at Capcom are literally doing everything within their power to screw over people that would otherwise just wait for balance changes.

Spectator mode is worth it, though. Right? There is absolutely no way it could have been in MVC3--it's not like they had it in SSFIV, a game that came out almost a year before. Absolutely not. I'll just trade in MVC3 and get ready to have a blast.

But it's alright. Even if they don't have a trade-in deal where one can trade MVC3 for a discount on UMVC3, it's alright--I'll just wait to buy the game used. That'll get the price down to a more respectable amount, right?

FACT: Remember the controversy about RE: Mercenaries? That wasn't a mistranslation, and the equivalent of one-use video games is soon to penetrate the online world. There is a high fucking chance that UMVC3 will have an "Online Pass" on new purchases. You know, a little like MK9, a one-use code that allows you to play the game online. Want to buy the game used? You have to drop 1200 MSP on an Online Pass of your own.

In short, I'm probably not buying. Get scammed at your own leisure. =/

BUT NOT REALLY

Capcom admits that it's decision with RE: Mercenaries was a bad idea, and that they and any other game company will most likely never do something like that again because it's bad for sales.

link: http://www.joystiq.com/2011/07/04/capcom-claims-re-the-mercenaries-3d-save-controversy-wont-happ/

Also, the one save isn't as HORRIFYING as you think. It simply made the save permanent, meaning that you can still replay the game as many times as you want, but unlocks and "time trial" type saves would still be present in a used copy. It's just a dumb idea, but it doesn't make the game impossible to replay like the rumor spread to become.

And yeah, that twitter post was a hoax like DeadApe said.

I'm still probably not going to buy UMVC3 unless I can manage to pay $20.00 or less for it.

Check out the UMvC3 panel. Most of the stuff we know already. But they are adding 2 costumes to every character. And they are awesome.
