i need help with minecraft

i just bought minecraft and i cant figure out how to run it i tried open in browser and it doesnt work i also dont know where to download minecraft to

First of all, fail. Second of all, wrong section. Third of all, make sure you have the right java version and you dont have to download it to a specific place, cuz its just a launcher, so put it on your desktop.

i saved it to the desktop but it says what program to open it with and thats what i cant find out
edit i figured out whats wrong my computer can not verify the publisher
