Well fine, I'm like 60/40 in my political views.

If I was to choose I would probably say conservative and before I get flamed its mainly because I'm joining the military and I own a gun. My only problem with democrats is that they are basically trying to cut funding to our space and military programs, instead of cutting relief to third world countries or something else that we could cut without crippling ourselves. Besides that I'm fine with everything else. Both parties have their Pros and Cons

yes lets pump more money into the military and space program (which they scrapped) while the rest of your country is in shambles (economy, poverty, equal living, unemployment, and new Orleans which is in your back yard but you haven't really fixed it back up have you)

I never said pump more money into the military/space program. Just stop cutting it, our military is fine where it is. If you're going to cut money, cut it from somewhere else, like aid to other countries. Like you said, " we can't help anyone until we help ourselves." That doesn't mean COMPLETELY stop all help. But if you're going to cut money from something, don't do it to the military or space program....

Edit: And yes I know they scrapped the space program, which was a HUGE mistake. Again, somethings you just don't cut funding from.

For one thing KZ, New Orleans has been being repaired for what the last six or so years now? So yea it's not a huge concern at this point and as for the economy all I can say is The Great Depression didn't fix itself overnight and jobs don't just appear out of thin air. Then again it took WWII to get out of that. Maybe Germany needs some new inspiration they haven't started a World War in about 72 years.

The military is what got us out of the great depression. Not just because there was a war, even though to be completely honest it did speed things up, its because that's what the military is, a job. It helps people get through school, so they can also get jobs when they're out of the military. The military is one of the last things we should take our money out of.

Don't even get me started on the space program, when I heard they cut it out of the equation completely, I was like " REALLY..."

Eventually we're going to have to go in space, and you know what, lets just let every other country beat us to that.

even though the military got this country out of the great depression, it was because it was almost all manual labor. Now its all automated so that won't happen again (at least not on that level anyway). And more funding for the military..........................my face (it needs to be cut)

If anything bring back the space program, leave the military where it is. No cuts, no additions, no nothing.

If America paid its soldiers as much as most of the countries on that chart, its spending would be half of that. So its not like they just burn the money on useless shit

but its draining us financially as well. Thats like saying lets leave this tick on our pet. Not to mention that bringing back the space program while leaving the military budget where it is would be a double whammy on our budget. The military's budget is amazingly high as it is and combined with a ungodly amount of wars it would be plain stupid imo.

The graph doesn't lie. We way overspend on military. Why? Because we can't get out of other people's business. Get out of Afganistan, get out of everywhere, and (call me crazy) cut military 70-80%.

Considering how much we spend on it, this alone would almost solve the deficit.

We can also cut foreign aid.. a lot. Especially to Isreal. Don't spend money on other countries when you barely have enough to keep your own running. Domestic comes first.

And we need Universal Healthcare so bad it's not even funny.
