BF3 Fault Line episode 2

Post  NegativeHUNTER on 16th March 2011, 8:29 am

Well folks Ep 2 is out enjoy!

http://www.ea.com/battlefield3/videos/faultline-episode-2

From the footage it loos as if when your getting shot at your screen blurs slightly, I'm guessing to add a sense of realism so players can actually get a feel of what its like to be suppressed. The trailer also shows off a preview of the new and improved destruction engine in action. I f you look closely you can see bits and pieces of particles being blown away as the player recieves incoming fire.

-Ep 3 is on its way, set to be released march 30.

So, why didn't that .50 punch through the 1-foot thick concrete thing and kill all of them? He was only 50 meters away, and he was shooting over and over.

Cool video though!

Well to be honest that sniper could have easily killed all of them, but yet again it is a game.

Yeah, it just bugged me that he kept shooting over and over. Like, the first bullet impact was pretty cool, the second one was awkward, then the rest just sort of got annoying.

I forgot that insurgents are highly trained! 2 if you listen at about 1:38 the one guy mentions that the wall was getting shot to pieces or if you look there were giant holes in the wall. Besides, in real life if it was 12 inch concrete (which is about the length of your forearm) a copper jacketed .50 cal bullet doesn't exactly cut through like butter. Concrete blocks are another story.

You don't have to be highly trained to fire a rifle at 5 targets from 50 meters. And from that distance the round would have enough force behind it from the muzzle to punch through the concrete.

Ok the game portrays combat on the Iranian Iraqi border giving the notion that its Iraqi insurgents. It is possible that the rifle was in poor condition, the ammunition has expired, the scope wasn't aligned right, or it could be a shooter that hasnt been trained at all.

It also could have been more than one shooter and they were firing shots in a "leap frog" tactic which would explain the faster shooting which explains the fast pace of the shots and if its one and he can cock the rifle and focus back in that fast to take proximity shots then he isnt an amateur and should have been able to pick them off especially when the FTL popped his head up.

Orrrrr the FTL used to play too much COD and just assumes everyone uses a .50 cal resulting in the error of him calling out the type of rifle being used.

Who knows
