Re: From the BRINK of destruction
I agree. After news of this game died down I started to care less but I love how it seems that the dev here understands gamers. I got to admit though, when he said no one shot kills I got pretty upset, I despise games where it takes a million shots to kill someone. To me all that means is that I shoot a guy until he realizes and then runs away, then my teammate kills him and steals my kill.
I feel like this is something I can deal with though. I really liked how he said that when you die you should feel as though it is your fault and I will take steps to make sure that doesn't happen again. If this is true that would be amazing. How many times do you get killed in an fps by some faggot using cheap tactics and you feel its not your fault?
The progression system seems pretty cool too, especially if its by body type. The ability to make hip fire just as accurate as aiming down the sites pisses me off a bit though.

So, from what the developer has said, this game is essentially the bunny-slope for FPS gamers.
Not buying.

Happy that no gun kills in one hit. (Kind of hoping a head shot still will. I hate snipers that don't need accuracy to be good.) Sad that hip fire can be just as accurate. Happy that there are plenty of different ways you can play them game.
Sounds cool, now where's my hardcore? I think I would like it better for this game.
I'm not entirely sure if I want this game, I'd like to see how the game play works out first. It's kind of borderline for me right now.

If there's one thing I hate, it's complaining about "no one-shot-kills" in FPS games. Probably the same crowds that disliked Halo 3 because they couldn't aim with the BR.
That said, this game really dropped off the radar. It's looking better than I remember.

Looks nice but, I really think the firing from the hip should be much more a reward than a give away. They have a lot of cool ideas but, multiplayer games are very hardcore gamer oriented. If you don't want to get knocked on your ass than keep playing. That is how the game goes. Black Ops even has a training mode to help your progress in skill and actually plan a layout of weapons you should buy based off of you ability with each one.
I don't mind, however, the no one hit kills. I find that to be great but, I still feel that a snipers should still be able to get one hit head shot kills. Snipers are usually at a constant disadvantage due to lack of mobility and the enormous amount of skill it takes to lock back on to a moving target before it gets away. So, I think rewarding those who take the ballsy shot to a much smaller target should get rewarded with a kill. Other than that I am satisfied with this interview.

That, and it's going to be difficult to hit a guy running the wall up to you.

Very true. I am feeling a possible claymore equivalent or major reduction in recoil for the "sniper" class.

It seems like a buy for me. I agree with pretty much everything the guy is saying, how the game looks is pretty awesome, and the leveling/xp system looks pretty cool too. It might be a buy after a month or so after the game comes out just to hear other people opinions and actuall gameplay.
