New Zombie Game "Class3"

Developer Undead Labs said today it has entered into a publishing deal with Microsoft Game Studios for Class3, an upcoming "open world zombie-survival game" exclusively for Xbox Live.

The team is looking to answer the big question: What would you do in the face of the zombie apocalypse? Creative Director James Phinney wouldn't give away too many details, but said that 'choice' will be a major part of the gameplay.

"If you see a bunch of survivors held up in a building, do you go in and save them? Do you then accept their gratitude and send them on their way or bring them into your shelter," he told IGN.

Phinney explained that as players continue to grow and expand their survivor group, they can then decide to build additional structures, such as sniper towers and reinforced walls for your property. Additionally, food is required to stay alive. Players will either have to try and grow their own crops or raid supermarkets.

"It's going to look and control like games that people are very familiar with on consoles," he said.

A release date was not announced, but Phinney added that Class3 is "much more constrained in scope than a full online-world game" so the development time is much shorter that expected.

Undead Labs will use Class3 as a platform to develop its other unannounced project, Class4, a persistent online game - not an MMO - and will released at a later date.

Hmm sounds like fun but i hope they do it in 3rd person too much fps ya know what i mean but yeah getting to decide to save any other survival groups or just leave him sounds really fun coz im bonna be the dick to say no lol and it should be awesome

It was either this one or the other project, but I have been following undead labs for a while and from all I have gathered it is going to be an excellent game and I could see it being the advanced version of zrp.

All i have seen so far is concept art, but it is fucking amazing concept art. go to undeadlabs.com to check out all the updates for it. The updates talk about the game, the team members and how they heard about undeadlabs. The game they are making has a forum site aswell mmozed.com, the people there have some really good ideas for the game and best of all, THE DEVELOPERS ACTUALLY LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE ON THE FAN FORUM.

Edit: Ok so i have been reading the "rude Q&A" they released on their site and the game i have been following was class 4 which will provide a much larger server-hosted world for thousands of simultaneous players. Instead of just 1-2 players which is how many the arcade game will support.

yeah from what i read they're just building up starting with the arcade game, the arcade version won't have online from what i've read but it'll still be legit

i can't wait for this i really hope its not a let down

yea pretty much the "class 3" (arcade game) is only being used to find out what works and to get the community's opinions, once they have brought out class 3 then they will start work on class 4 (the bigger game) which will be built using class 3 as a foundation.

Will Class4 be a PC exclusive game ??? Or is it somehow going to consoles aswell? If its a PC exclusive ... meh. Im gettin a new computer so i MIGHT be able to buy and play it, but if its going to consoles as well i wont have to worry... and will more than likely end up buying it with no hesitation.

Not sure, but i think its a Xbox Exclusive.

Both games are xbox exclusive.
