I just got Minecraft and I love it but how do you change your skin?

Go to Preferences on the Minecraft site, browse and find your skin image, and upload it. You can find skins made by the community at the Minecraft forums, the World of Minecraft forums, or in the Skindex. If you want to make your own, and you're not too good with photo editing programs, I'd suggest you use SkinEdit. It's a very helpful program. Use google to find the things I've mentioned, they'll be right up there.

Idk about you but i cannot join a single game in minecraft after the update it either one of three problems 1. outdated client 2. just crashes when i open the game or 3. some kind of connection problem.

Also jumpingsnipa what does your character look like?

Yea i just got minecraft yesterday and just wanna post my character skin, if anyone wants to play (if the servers aren't down or whatever, just add me i guess.

Are you on a PC thats using wireless to obtain connection? And are you using two different PC's or are you playing and hosting on the same one? Also, what are the specs for the PC running the server?

Bugfixes:
* Paintings work in multiplayer
* Disconnecting while riding no longer keeps the player in the world
* A bunch more state is properly synched in multiplayer
* Fixed colors going weird on PowerPC
* Fixed a horrible chunk reload loop in singleplayer
* Fixed most lighting bugs in newly generated SMP maps
* Falling sand behaves better in SMP
* Fixed a few crash on load level bugs
