New UX Forza Racing Rewards System
Okay, in sum this is going to be a complete overhaul.
**NOTE: These changes will take effect from event #7 and on, so event 6 and before still use the old system.
Starting with event 7, there is no more "choose out of 3 cars" thing. The new reward system involves credits now, and updating your garage (more on this later). The summary is below:
- At the end of every race, "credits" will be awarded based on your finishing position. A total of 300,000 CR will be given out each event, and therefore 100,000 CR per race (3 races per event). The highest anyone can get in one event is 150,000 CR (if won all 3 races). The prize amounts are as follows:
1st - 50,000 CR
2nd - 25,000 CR
3rd - 10,000 CR
4th - 5,000 CR
5th - 4,000 CR
6th - 3,000 CR
7th - 2,000 CR
8th - 1,000 CR
The credit amounts will also be placed next to the finishing position at the end of each event in case you forget (where I post the results of each race; check the event 7 or 8 topic to see the layout).
**You will only get awarded credits if you finish and don't get a DNF!! This shows you have made an effort to race, rather than sit back and take your 1,000 CR prize. The "end-race timer" will be set on 5 minutes, so there is no excuse not to finish. However, if there is an extremely bad wreck where your car cannot continue, I may make some exceptions.
**If we don't have a full lobby, the credits will simply spill over to the 1st position. So for example, if only 6 people show up, 1st place will get 53,000 CR, and 6th will get 3,000 CR. Remember the event won't be held if under 5 people show (5-8 required).
**Credits can carry over events!! If you make 80,000 CR at the conclusion of one event, you don't have to instantly spend it. You can save up, and eventually purchase a car in the dealership when ready (more on this later).
**These are solely reward cars. There is no "career progression". You do NOT need to have purchased a car here to use it in events.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, how to keep track of all this? This is where your garage comes in (remember that?). Just like in the good old gta4 races, you are required to update your garage (and by garage I mean total credits). However, you should leave the rest of the garage as is, just in case gta4 races return. Please use my garage as an example; a link is below:
http://www.undead-xbox.com/the-garage-f32/eaustinn-s-garage-t4301.htm
And just like always, if I find you are cheating by altering your credits, your entire "credit amount" will be reset to 0, and you might be suspended from future events. DO NOT DO THIS!!
If you have not already created a new garage, now is the time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, as I said before, credits can build up. So where to go when your all set to buy something? The dealership section (remember that too?). There, you will find a Forza Dealership topic. The rules are similar to the gta4 purchase rules: Post the car you want to buy, the price of the car, your credits before, and your credits after (don't forget to update your garage!!). I will be checking the topic frequently, so if you claim a car, expect it "gifted" to your profile soon.
It is also important to note that only stock vehicles will be available for claiming. The prizes include any of the nearly 500 cars in the game (but you have to have the credits!!). Note that I will use the stock in-game season play price for each car. So (for example), a Jaguar XJ220 costs 190,000 CR in game, in which is what you need to buy it. Auction house prices don't count!!
Make sure you state the vehicle exactly as it is spelled in game (including the year made). I need to know exactly which car you want.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reason for this overhaul is to make things more interesting, more fair, and more fun. Even last place finishers can win a car now (and it's easier on me financially ).
Don't forget to update your garage often, check the dealership, and keep updated on events!
Happy racing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT:
NEW PROPOSAL
You don't have to update your own garage if you don't want to (I guess idc either way). You can just never claim or get any reward cars then, since you'll be stuck at your "un-updated" 0 CR.
In fact, I like this solution. If someone is going to be too lazy to spend 10 seconds, once per week, to update one number... then i'm not going to take the personal expense to reward you.

0-60 in under 3.2 seconds, nearly a 200 mph top speed... and 78 mpg? You are looking at Porsche's latest legend.

Re: New UX Forza Racing Rewards System
Also to note: All of the people signed up with UX Forza Racing who already have a garage set up will have the word "FORZA" in brackets next to your topic title, since we of course are [temporarily] more important than the gta4 garages.
I also "bumped" them b/c for some reason it won't let me sticky
But seriously, it's not for you, it's for me (so I can find your garage faster if I need to check something)
If you have not signed up for UX Forza Racing yet, remember to post under the "UX Racing on Forza 3" topic.

I second that notion. But what happens if you just keep finishing 8th, how do you buy a car? Or do you get given a car only for that race?

These cars are reward cars only, not cars that you are forced to use throughout the events (there is no "career progression").
And as stated above, you get 1,000 CR for 8th place, or 3,000 CR for the event (if you get last every time). The credits carry over event to event. It may take awhile, but you'll eventually have enough to "purchase" the car you always wanted.

Aaaah, thanks for clearing that up. Feel sorry for anyone who wants the 20,000,000 CR Ferrari.

Is it possible to be able to NOT follow this system?
Because as of now I hate it.

@Coggy - Yeah that's what happens when there is a massive overhaul. I've been planning it for awhile, but have only recently posted it up within an hour.
@Bladewind - How so?

As In I don't want to be any part of it, I could really care less about reward cars.

Well if that's the case then why revert to the old system? That revolved around reward cars too...
This I believe is just a more efficent way of doing it.
If you really don't want the reward cars fine (i'll even update your garage for you if you want ). Your credits will just accumulate then.

Re: New UX Forza Racing Rewards System
I just really do not like this system.. keeping track of a bunch of shit in a garage.. its bad enough keeping track of it in Forza itself

By that i'm assuming you mean only 1 number that changes based on cars bought and races won? It's not like it is 13,334 CR.. they are all nice rounded numbers (like 2,000 CR).
As I said before, I can update your garage if you really want... it's not that hard.
(if you look in the "events" for event #7 and 8, you can see that your winnings are even listed there so you see how much you won).
It's not as complicated as you think.. (for me yes, but for everyone else no)

Re: New UX Forza Racing Rewards System
Well its past the complication where my brain wants to give a crap.
So if you could keep track of it then go ahead.
