It doesn't seem like they're making ridiculous generalizations about gaming and gamers as a community, though it is on the stereotypical side of things. I'm pretty sure Law and Order has actually done that before.

It's an extreme case, then again, it's Law and Order. Their intros always start abnormal. Just because of this one extreme case doesn't mean Law and Order thinks all gamers are loser. That is just a conclusion you (the viewer) has come to.

Good show though.
