Well written and i agree completely. I honestly didn't know about any of this, because i was about 6 years old when halo 1 came out. Even then i loved the game more than any other game out at the time.

Just because they didn't mention Gears of War and it's completely unoriginal aiming mechanic doesn't mean you have to be all "Grrr" face.

The first time I heard of "the Halo Effect" was a magazine article that commented on the growing trend in videogames to have regenerating health.

Interesting and factual. It kind of rips on all of the motion stuff coming out saying that you don't need to be extremely innovative to make a good game. I like that.

oh i get it, because i like Gears of War, that must be the only reason i don't like Halo. It's not because it is the "Most Overrated Game in the Existence of Mankind". Everything Halo has done, had been done before. If anything, its should be called "Way Halo took other peoples idea and made it seem like there own"
