Controller Mods?

I'm just wondering if anyone else here has modded their xbox controller. I recently added a custom d-pad and thumbsticks, but I have replaced the d-pad on another controller with a joystick from one of my gamecube controllers.

This is the one with the custom d-pad.

Hows the d-pad? Where'd you get it from and is it better than that xbox piece of crap.

I made it. You can't really see it, but it sticks up about half a centimeter, so it doesn't rub against the case and press other buttons. Good for RPG's.

i got a modded controller that makes guns shoot really fast. but that's when i was really into cod. it comes with a fancy blue led light instead of the stock green one. really cool

In other words, you bought it online and ready built, which is not cool at all. The whole point of hardware modding is to do it yourself.

umm i'm pretty sure that the point of having modded hardware is to get an edge in a game, not building it yourself.

Maybe, but I'd rather install the mod myself rather than just buy a pre-made one. Might just be me though

Hmm the most I'll mod is the color of the controller and the LEDs.
I want a Black controller with silver buttons and analog, and pink LEDs.
But I don't have the time or money to do that even though I can do it.

K, then tell me what's the point of having an xbox with differrent colour LED's or custom case mods? How do they give you an edge on any game? Yet thousands of people do that to their consoles and PC's...
