Types of Races (GTA4)

Circuit Races
These are the normal types of races, a couple of laps, and first one who finishes, wins.

Point to Point
You start at one point and the first one to get to the finish point wins. You can take any route you want to get to the finish but remember, the GPS isn't always the fastest route.

Demo Derby
All cars in a small arena fight it out. Last car standing wins. Remember to protect your engine.

Team Demo Derby
Two teams of cars go against each other. Last team standing wins.

Rally
Mostly point to point while driven on gravel and dirt roads. Try not to lose control, driving on these tracks are very unpredictable.

Street Racing
Could be circuit or point to point but traffic is turned on to heavy and watch out for the feds.

Highway Battle
High speed racing on some of the biggest highways in Liberty city. Losing control at these speeds will kill.

Drag Racing
1/4 straight line racing. No turning here, fastest accelerating car with the best launch is what your looking for here.

Pink Slips
Any type of race but only two people participate. Its all or nothing because winner, gets the losers car.

Capture the VIP **NEW**
This race type is purely for fun. There's a single VIP on the other side of Liberty City, and you have to get to him before everyone else does. The VIP is also in a car so you have to be one step ahead of everyone else. First one to touch the VIP wins.

Team VIP **NEW**
Two teams each have their own VIP. The objective of the game is to destroy and kill the other teams VIP, while protecting your own VIP. This is a game of strategy.

Tag **NEW**
I little bit of zombie fun, infection tag. One player starts and has to tag other players, if tagged you also become it. Last one standing wins.

Stunt Show
Also for fun, try to show of your driving skills by doing some major tricks, huge jumps and crazy flips. The judges then determine who is the best stunt man.

Car Show
A race type that barely requires racing. Show up with the best looking, rarest car and be chosen by judges as the winner.
