See, now that's a good band. Listen to some of their earlier stuff, too.

Re: Music Flame War
Why the fuck do people get so angry at eachother just because of the music they listen? I personally listen to all of the 3 major music styles (hip hop, metal and techno), and just the idea of making conclusion about people based on what kind of music they listen to is absurd. If it sounds good to you, there's no reason to not listen to it, and if it doesn't sound good then just don't listen to it. It's that simple.
You wouldn't go to a restaurant and call someone who ordered pasta a faggot just cause you don't like pasta.

Re: Music Flame War
Yes, I WOULD.
But seriously, I'm the same way. I put a killswitch on my SG so i could scratch along to Big Pun it actually works quite well with the Seymour Duncan SH-8 I put on it. Man, talk about some crazy sustain.
Killswitch is pretty good for stuff like IwAbo too though. Hit a really nasty cord, stomp the Whammy pedal and just lay into that fucker.
What about you Ape? Got any fun little customizations?

Killswitch, eh?

Also, boobies!
And the stuff that DeadApe was saying on page 2, people who actually play guitar need to pursue more technical shit. I don't play any instrument myself, but I highly disagree with that. Music is so much more than just the technical part. Just take a look at the punk scene. Most of the biggest bands didn't even know how to play, they had the shittiest equipment you could get, but they still managed to become such famous bands because of their attitude, and you can feel that attitude through their music.
I mean if you want to be more skilled and technical guitar player, it's absolutely okay, the part that I disagree with was when you said that people who play have to pursue the more technical approaches to their music.

What kind of SG? I got Gibson SG Cherry Standard, but I'm using use the toggle switch as killswitch. It's quite easy, but Fin is absolutely right. Music is about emotion, and I don't see the emotion in trying to play your instrument as fast as possible. Also, M3LA, out of all the metal subgenres, Nu-metal is at the very bottom. The only nu-metal I can respect is System of a Down, otherwise, the rest is godawful.

Agreed Fin.
But thats the case for me at least. And btw I do remember that you called my music shit a while ago and claimed that grindcore was the best :0
Zomando stop saying stupid things. There is enough emotion in death metal to destroy a city. During my between the buried and me concert in January I cannot tell you the emotions I was feeling. Music wouldn't exist period without emotions. Just different genres and styles evoke different emotions. Once again I'll say that while I am trying to be open minded here your acting like a complete douche shutting down everybody who posts music. So what M3la likes nu-metal, if it exists its because people listen to it and like it.
And btw I don't only listen to Death Metal, I'm just defending it because you are attacking it. My 2 favorite bands of all time are not death metal. I listen to Brand New, MGMT, Modest Mouse, Muse, Manchester Orchestra, Blink 182, tons of indie stuff.
I have a black Jackson DK2M Dinky with Maple neck. Its completely stock because seymour duncans rule. Currently tuned to Drop B.

I don't even remember that, but could have been trolling since Nasum is pretty much the only grindcore band I really like...
But I recall calling metalcore shit and praising doom metal when I was a little drunk... But doom metal is the best drinking music when alone or in a small group.

I'm not trying to attack your music, and sorry if I'm acting like a douche. I just haven't really had a chance to listen to it, that's all, and by the way, when you have it in drop B, are the rest of your strings standard? Usually, I just stay in drop D and C, sometimes I just tune the all the strings down a whole step.
Fin, Doom Metal surely deserves to be praised

Re: Music Flame War
Hmm, usually I just have the E string dropped to D or C and the rest of the strings standard. It sounds real heavy for sudge or doom metal.
