Re: " THE WAR" characters
If you could incorporate Charlie Sheen into your story that would be fantastic.
However, here is a character on a more serious note.
Name: Nathanial Rose Bateman (Collin, he hates his names)
Age: 18
Family: An ignorant dad, named David, but most commonly referred to as 'sir' in the house, even by his own wife, who is as traditional as traditional gets He had a mother name Linda who was a the kind of mom that would bake pies, and greet everyone one with a warm smile. She was, quite honestly, the most stereotypical but, most caring mom Collin had ever come across, thought, that isn't saying much. He had an older brother, RJ, who has long graduated into the high ranks of the marine core. It is all his dad ever talks about and commonly compares the two when bashing Collin.
Friends: Eric and Daemon are his two real friends. The rest are just acquaintanceship who he spent a DDO game or two with but, nothing much more than that.
Job: Currently unemployed (technically). As a secret "job", he draws provocative images of Anthro animal pictures and sells them to various sites (a furry). Though he prefers the more artistic scenery similar to Bob Ross, he is forced to delve deep into the urine smelling under belly of the internet in order to make any money.
Problems: Fairly shy, socially awkward but, talks normal (to a degree) , sweats easily, not over weight but, defiantly not thin. Has no real anger problems. Terrified to use a gun (afraid more so of the judgment), most theories of the world ending and especially zombies. Athletic performance is fair at best but, his bigger body makes him useful for lifting heavier objects and, if you can convince him to, hold a heavier firearm.
Description: 6'6", dirty blond hair, brown eyes, weighs nearly 200lbs, however he is not built. He has a chubbier face, his cheeks hang off the side of his face, the top of his eye brows sag a little over his eyes, and he has a fairly well concealed nose and no real defining features with the exception of his eyes, which seemed massive after staring to long into them. His face only spotted red in a few, unnoticeable places, giving him a very "clean faced" look. His outfit during the time of the outbreak was a black t-shirt, with white, embossed lettering which read "Schrödinger’s cat is dead" and on the back "Schrödinger’s cat is alive". He wore black, porous sweat pants with white pin stripes on the side and deep pockets. His shoes were an old pair of Nike High-tops which, the 'tops' actually stayed fairly low due to their age and poor maintenance.
Story: After completing high school with decent grades, Collin applied to only one collage. It was Carolina State where is 'sweat heart' was going. Well, not really.
It was a girl who he had always "eye balled" since he was young. He wasn't a complete stranger to her but wasn't a friend either. More of just, "that kid" or "your only friend in the class" deal, which he knew and didn't really mind. She wasn't exactly prom queen, either so it mattered not that they got more acquainted. Collin pretended that he was a bit of a surfer/skater type, which met her interests instantly, with her being one a fanatic of surfing and skating. It brought up conversation and it was the only real link between the two (to either of their knowledge).
Anyway, once summer started up, she didn't even say good bye. All she talked about in class to him was how great Carolina State was. So, he figured if there was one school he would try... Sadly, he wasn't accepted. His only real life interest was now dust in the wind. He refused to apply to another collage; he even refused to apply for a real job. Collin had been moping over his "loss" while his parents’ marriage may have well committed suicide and burnt its own corpse. At least then, they could both say there was still a spark. David had become more a drunk and Linda was tired of his Catholic, grey ways. The two seem to argue each moment they can, while Collin stayed up stares in his room which was essentially an addict with a door that goes downstairs. His biggest accomplishments were his computer and his “How to draw” 200 page book. Both of which were alright (actually his computer was very high tech and he was constantly updating it with better hardware) but, the one piece in his room that stood out the most was his pure Japanese steel blade Katana encased in a deep wood sheath and engraved with black symbols that just built on top of its glory. It was quite a sight to behold. He had messed around using it but, never actually ‘used’ or really trained with it. The only real reason he bought it was because, it was $12 at a flea market and he thought it would look bad ass. He always reminded this to himself each time he looked at the sword, trying to convince himself that he will never use it. And even if he did, he would never even have the balls to kills someone or even injure them for that matter. He couldn’t have been more wrong.
To summarize his first encounter with the infected, (I doubt you want a story for a simple description for a character, sorry I have a tendency to do that :/. I don't try and do it on purpose.) he was met with his father missing a jugular and his mother hovering over him before turning to chase after Collin. Collin obviously ends up killing his mom through a grueling psychological test of will and then proceeds to pack as much as he can before burning his own house down in fear of his family reanimating. He managed to drive his Dad's old F150 out of the garage managing to pack maybe a dozen non-perishable goods, his PC, a shovel, extra clothes, flash light, and his drawing pad, with no real idea where he is going. His only hope is that he will meet someone that can give him some direction...
