Apocalypse Part1

After the events on December 21st, 2012, the Earth was partially destroyed. The only people that know what happened are dead. The people who were "lucky" enough to survive the are changed forever. Some emotionally, some physically. Mutations were often found, leaving monsters and mutants, along with the occasional raider.

Two survivors, who were in a fallout shelter during the event, now emerged years later to find what happened. The shelter was located upstate in a grass covered field. There is nothing but sand and dust now. They just came upon a tipped over truck and are scavenging for supplies.
"Anything good?" asked Brendan as he checked his shotgun.
"Nah, already been looted." replied John. "Maybe on the other side."
John moved around the truck to check it.
"You find anything?.....John?...You alright?" Brendan was getting nervous.
"I think you should see this." called John.
As Brendan got to John's side, he saw what the problem was.

A body, the driver of the truck was executed by gunshot to the back of the head.

"Jesus man." said Brendan.
"Id say he hasent been here for more then a week." replied John.
"Fuckin great. Here I was thinkin we were the only humans left. Now we know that the other humans are murdering psychopaths." said Brendan.

"Well, we gotta keep heading down the road." said John.
"Hope we dont run into the guys that did this." said Brendan.

They went on down the road.
"Well I kind of hope we do." said John as he loaded his pistol.
"Fuck yeah," added Brendan as he cocked his shotgun.
"But seriously though I kinda hope we dont."
"Yeah me too.

As the two survivors get closer to the building in the distance, they cant help but think about the dead man by the truck.
"Alright man, we dont know whats gonna be in there, so be prepared." said Brendan.
"I got your back if you got mine." said John.
"Deal." agreed Brendan.

They jumped behind the closest car for cover and started to come up with a plan.
"I dont see anything over there. How bout you, see anything?" asked Brendan.
"No, nothing. It looks abandoned from here." said John.

"Alright man, it looks pretty quiet so, I say we move up to the windows over on that side. Lets move fast and stay down." said John.
"Right behind ya man." replied Brendan.
The two sprinted across to the side of the building and crept up to the window. They peaked inside and saw nothing but darkness.
"Looks empty." said John.
"No, it looks dark. I'll go first." replied Brendan.
As he climbed in John handed him his shotgun and then climbed in himself.

"Looks like somthing was thrown or dragged into this window, the boards are all pushed in and broken." said John.

"Yeah I think I found what it was." answered Brendan. A decayed body was laying on the counter. It llooked like it had been there for some time.
"Wait, are those..bite marks? asked John.

Just then the sound of somthing crawling around was heard in the back on the room from the darkness.
"The Fuck was that?! asked Brendan.

"I dont know. I cant see a fucking thing down there." replied John.
The only light in the room was the sunlight coming in, and the sun relecting off little things in the room. Nothing bright enough to see down the aisles.
"It was probably just a radroach. Lets go down the aisle and check it out." said Brendan.
"Ok you take aisle 3, ill take 2." replied John.

As they walked into the darkness only a shelf seperating them, John couldnt help thinking something was watching him.
"Hey man. You having that feeling like something is staring at you?" asked John.
"Shhh."

Just then the thing staring at John from on top of the aisle leaped at him with a loud screach.

The monster landed on John knocking the gun out of his hand. John can only try to hold it back as it tried to bite him, He was terrified at the monster on him.
Brendan, who heard the screach had ran around the aisle to see what happened.
"What the fuck!?" yelled Brendan.
John snapped back and yelled "SHOOT IT"

Brendan shot his shotgun close range at the mutant and it flew off John, who had sat up and grabbed his pistol.

The mutant laid motionless on the ground. The two just waited for it to get up, but it didnt.
"You alright man?" asked Brendan.
"Yeah..im fine." replied John. "I just need some fresh air."

So John went outside in the back of the building to cool off.
They had just seen their first mutant and now know that murderous people arent so bad anymore.
"Yo Brendan, come out here and check this out!" yelled John.
Brendan came out back and looked in.
"Whatcha find man?" asked Brendan.

"Check it out its a buggy. Looks like someone was fixing it up." said John.
They see that the car can run and has keys under the seat.

"Well it beats walking to the city." said Brendan.
"Get in brother, im driving." replied John.

So now the two survivors travel down the road, on their way to the city.

Zombie Master, wooh.

Wow I was half expecting a surprise twist where the Moish turns out to be the killer. But this was pretty damn good.

This John guy seems like a real bad ass.

A combination of many games. Main characters from Half-Life 2. Map is Gasdumb from Zombie Master. Images probably taken with Garry's Mod. All run on the HL2 engine.
