The Forgotten

Chapter 1

I awoke, I looked at my watch and it said 1:23 am I then realized it was my turn to be look out. I got up grabbed my rifle and headed to the balcon, I looked at Carl and said.

"Carl you should get some rest I be look out for now."

Carl walked toward the slightly darkened room to rest. I walked back and fourth keeping watch, I started to get tired of standing so I looked to my left and grabbed the bar stool then sat on it. I started to daze off every now and then so I decided that a little shut eye won't hurt so I rested my eyes. suddenly when I started to get comfortable I heard a loud moan and a girl screaming, I got up and lifed my binoculars. I saw a woman being chased by atleast 3 zombies so I called out to the girl.

" Get over here!"

I then yelled out to Carl saying.

"Carl get downstairs and open the door there is a girl being chased by a few zombies!"

Carl got up grabbed his pump shotgun and ran downstairs toward the entrance, I lifted my rifle and aimed down my sights and put 3 rounds into the nearest zombie. I put two to it's chest and one to the head, I then realized one catching up to her so I pu the remaining rounds into him finishing him. I looked toward the entrance and saw Carl reach out to the girl so I reloading my rifle and aimed but I missed two shots and gave up, Carl pulled the girl inside and put a shell into it's torso killing it and launching it a few feet I locked the balcony door barricaded it and rushed downstairs. I saw Carl barricading the main entrance so I comforted the girl and brought her upstairs, Carl followed. I showed her the bed and she sat on it Carl walked in with water, he handed it to her and she gulped it down like she hadn't ate or drank anything for days. So while Carl went to get her some fruit I asked her some questions.

"Where are you from miss?"

"Well umm im f..from, umm I lived in Broker most of my life."

"Broker?" I said "How did you end up here?"

"Well I was rooming with my cousin a few weeks back we heard on the news to stay inside as we did, but we ran out of food on the 2 week of surviving and...umm."

"Umm what?"

"Umm we were about to get some food until those thing broke down the apartment door and rushed inside, I hid inside the closet not making a sound and they grabbed my cousin and ripped her apart and I stood there and watched as they f.. feasted on her corpse until it was dry bone"

Sunddenly she burst out into tears Carl came in and hugged her, I looked at my watch and it read 2:57 am, I then heard a beeping noise from my wallkie talkie I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Jack oh thank god I thought you were a goner I have been buzzing you all morning."

"Dan, oh damn I thought that exact thing too." Dan was our scavenger,
he always would go scavenging because he always knew the best places to scavenge.

"So Dan is everyone alright?"

"Oh ya Sarah and Kyle are alright, but thats not why I'm calling you."

"Why are you calling me then?"

"Ready the garage because I found some things you might like, I will be there in 10 minutes."

Ya I know I jst rushed it ALOT I did once like around 4 and it was perfect but I clicked the back arrow and it deleted so I did it again but rushed it. Thanks.

yah man personally i definately think its worth sharing with the members here on the forum

I was hoping not to continue because I am really lazy but I decided I should finally write a story.

not saying u have to but im just sayin if u want to it would definately be worth it

Other than it being Karl, not "Carl", the story has potential. As kush said though you might want to spell check a few areas.
